Oh no, it’s the first thing Adulting and I disagree on! I am 100% about emoticons and think that while you could type “I am staring with my wide and my mouth hanging open slightly to the left of my face” if you instead chose to type 8o then you my friend have NUANCE and FLAIR and WE SHOULD EMAIL MORE.
